LOL

When I talk to friends online I sometimes use the abbreviations LOL, but my friends use it so much....you have no idea lol this or lol that haha I think its overused.............some people just say lol because their so used to typing that instead of haha which I use...................the emoticons on msn LOL are pretty funny though! There's so much more abbreviations that we use today in our daily chats like OMG, BRB, G2G, ROFL, LMAO, and N2M. I really don't know how we started learning that way of talking but I know it starts at a very young age, if you have a computer.......LOL........haha I guess you can think that our revolution is lazy but its smart! There's not much to say about LOL but I know many LOL moments that would be a story I would tell my kids one day! The only time when it starts bugging me is when people try to make their own spelling of the abbreviations like LULZ and RUFLZ like just write it like normal people do it or don't write it. I can say that I am a addict of using these abbreviations and I've been trying to get away from it...............

One moment in time...

I wish I could have that one moment in time to find out what I did wrong to make you stop talking to me. I've experienced that from other people in my life but I would never thought that you would be like them.....I trusted you and you trusted me! Talking on the phone, texting, chatting, and hanging out. We'd tell each other stories that were personal and embarrassing to something that would make us smile when we weren't having such a great or okay day. I guess it was too good to be true! You gave me that feeling like no other. It's not that I'm mad or anything I just want to know what I did to make you misunderstand me. You know I couldn't have waited for you to come back from that trip.....next thing you know you were back and I said "HI" and all I got was a ignorance! What happened? All I know is that it's too late for me to go back and get some answers for many questions I had in mind.....but I got to admit we were a great tag team and we had our ups and downs like any other "ships"! To me I really think we made the most of it, being able to do what not many other people could and I'm glad I experienced that with you.....I really don't know how I did it to make you start talking to me because I had always thought of you as a person who was too cool and has other things to do besides talking to me! No matter how it is now and how you feel whenever I'm around, don't worry I feel the same way. We can't change things now, but I wish that I could go back to that one moment in time to tell you I'm always here when you have that feeling of a cloudy day flowing through your guts just to give you a little inspiration and a glimpse of that smile I once adored.

A day in the life of Dixie Schumann

Woke up very early @ 5:30am to get ready for chamber choir....take a shower, puts some lotion on, make up, and then my uniform! Before I could leave I would have some mini wheats for breakfast. My mother or father waits for me to finish my breakfast to give me a ride to school. Occasionally I would bus but sometimes I could get a ride. When I get to school I head straight to the choir portable for choir. I sing from 7-8am.....................once choir is done I go to my locker and figure out what books I need for class. After organizing my locker and whatnot I then hang out with my friends/classmates....a minute before homeroom.........that's when I would start heading to homeroom! At homeroom all I do is chit chat with my friends....

Do you wanna?

In time I'll have my chance to ask a special person this question...I'm in my 4th year of high school and I can't believe it's almost time! There are always parts in your life where you'll be lost or confused and try to find out what to do or how to handle it. I like to think of it as my turn in growing up from when I used to be those typical boys where they couldn't stand talking or touching a girl. Now, I'm at that part where my older friends told me that one day I'll grow out of that way of thought. I really don't know who and when to ask. I just know that day by day, I'm running out of time. I want to make this special because it's a one in a lifetime thing, there won't be another chance for you to make up your prom if you have chosen the wrong person or if you have done something embarrassing. I don't care if it didn't turn out to be a perfect prom as long as me and her have fun and be able to somehow talk about it when it's all done. Even though I want to have one day, I don't want my high school years to be finished...truly summer is a time where you hang out with your friends but you'll never be able to see them all at once everyday for 5 days a week! I love things just the way it is right now...and I'm going to try to enjoy every moment of it while it lasts! When I enter grade 12 and realize I will have to ask a very special girl it's going to be hard for me to finish that question that's why I hope she understands what I mean when I say....Do you wanna....?

My Guitar (Descriptive)

My most valuable possession is an old, slightly warped Philippine-made guitar--the first instrument I taught myself how to play. It's nothing fancy, just an ordinary guitar, all scuffed and scratched and finger-printed. At the top is a bramble of copper-wound strings, each one hooked through the eye of a silver tuning key. The strings are stretched down a long, slim neck, its frets tarnished, its wood worn by years of fingers pressing chords and picking notes. The body is shaped like an enormous yellow pear, one that was slightly damaged in shipping. The very dark red wood has been chipped and gouged to gray, particularly where the pick guard fell off years ago. No, it's not a beautiful instrument, but it still lets me make music, and for that I will always treasure it.

My Scars

Scars can last a lifetime. They can be created physically or emotionally, and show what you've gone through in life.

I have many physical scars from playing basketball, hockey, and soccer. They are on my knees, elbows, sometimes on the face! Some are small and a few are big. I hate scars as they irritate me so much. Whenever I glance at one of them, I would always have a flashback on how I got it. Then I'd realize how stupid I was to have been hurt that bad. My parents always tell me to be careful whenever I leave the house to hang out with friends or maybe just go out to shoot some hoops with random people. So, when I come back with a bleeding knee, hand, etc., I'm always told how dumb I was for getting hurt. I know everything that happened was through accidents. But the scars can last a long time which remind me of my stupidity.

I think the worst scar I got was an emotional one. This one involved a close friend of mine. It all began 2 weeks into 9th grade when my friend since elementary realized that I wasn't giving him a call to chill or call to talk. Then we started to verbally fight with each other and he made my new and old friends go against me. But it was alright because I didn't want to make such a scene. So, I waited til' we confronted each other! It took almost half of the school year for us to make up. Now, we're close as ever and I'm glad we got to experience that.

Autobiography: Birth

I was not born on the day the our family physician, Dr. Ngui expected my mom to deliver her Canadian baby. When my mom became pregnant in 1992, Dr. Ngui told her that she would give birth to a baby boy (that's me) on February 13, 1993. But things didn't happen as predicted. At around 10:00 PM on 30 January 1993, my mom was not feeling well as she began to experience some pains on her tummy and lower backs. As the pains became excruciating after her water bag broke, my dad brought her right away to BC Women's Hospital. But as stubborn as I was, I did not come out possibly because I still wanted to stay longer in my mom's womb. So, my mom continued to labor with all the pains all over her body. The doctor tried different methods (like letting my mom sit on a chair in the bath tub while the water was running and squatting with hands holding an iron bar on the delivery bed) with the intention of having a normal delivery. However, everything failed to work. Thus, at around 9:00 AM, January 31, a decision was made that the delivery would be a C-section. It was a done deal, and Paul Andrew R. Catao saw the light of the world for the first time ever. Of course, there were lots of uha, uha, uha according to my parents, Bonifacio Catao and Cecilia Roferos Catao. More importantly, my parents were and still are very happy that they got their second child.

Things that are wet

When i think of things that are wet, I just think of the movie, Free Willy! Free Willy is my ultimate favorite childhood movie! I would watch it over and over and I would never get bored. I was so amazed at the fact that this whale would just respond to a harmonica played by a 12- yr old kid! As well, I love the bonding between the boy and the whale, and just didn't mind what the story was all about. That was then . . .

I've seen all of the Free Willy movie series 1,2, and 3 all filmed in BC! YAYEEUH! I understand now the reason why the whale and the boy were so close in the first movie. It's because they were both separated from their moms and they needed each other. I love the ending where it shows a clip of Willy, the whale jumping sky high and making a huge splash! Willy, the whale was freed at last! Also, I love Michael Jackson always singing the same song at the end of the movies:) RIP

GET OUT!

Yeah . . . So, you all probably know I was gone last week because I went to Camp Squamish with the Saint Pats Elementary kids! GET OUT! Like seriously... I wasn't sick or didn't skip school or anything. I went to the Camp to help the teachers supervise the kids! GET OUT!

When I got on the bus and saw all those students with their back packs, sleeping bags, and pillows, I found out that they used to be our buddies when they were in grade 2 and we were in grade six. When I saw my buddy for the first time after graduation, I was like GET OUT! He's in grade six now?!?!" I was very surprised at how all of my close classmates' buddies were so grown up now!

I went to Camp Squamish with 3 other close friends: Michelle, Sheryl, and Gerard. You know, we haven't been back to the Camp ever since grade seven! By the time we arrived, we told the teachers . . . GET OUT . . . that's what the Camp looks like now?!?! When we were the participants of the same activity, the mess hall (cafeteria) was under renovation! Sorry for all of our other classmates from Saint Pats Elementary that they didn't get the chance of experiencing life at the Camp at this time.

Lots of fun memories came back to my mind as soon as I stepped foot on the ground at the Camp. I told some of the participants that the Camp has lots of improvements. But the BUNNIES were nowhere to be seen. The kids were like GET OUT! Well, not really but the expressions on their faces seemed like it!

Potatoetry

Potatoes are yummy...
They make me feel chubby like a teletubby!
What a way to start...
who knows you might end up to fart!
Yes, potatoetry is the title...
what now...am I your idol?
Can you believe I'm writing about potatoes?
Come on that's not one of my ego's!
Whatever, I do what Miss I tells me!
Starting off with my potato poetry.
Now, lets get serious about this...
there are other things I don't want you to miss!
I know your laughing and it makes me smile:)
want to eat some potatoes with me for awhile?
Add some ketchup and some mayonnaise...
take your time now it's not a race!:P
I'm betting you like potatoes now right?
Maybe next time you can treat tomorrow night.

Potato

Toys story...potato head is one of the silliest characters I've seen in the history of toys story! I love potatoes just because it tastes so good when they're turned into french fries:P I totally remember that movie called SLAPPY and the STINKERS in which they used a potato gun at a friend's house who works at their elementary school. It was very hilarious. When it fired the pressure from the blast off pushed the shooter back but the potato went like 100 yards far or even more! It's for sure a funny way to prank people. Okay, back to potato head....yeah, he totally reminds me of me when I cant find my glasses or like the other pair of socks. This is the reason why he's one of my favorite characters in the movie who cares about Woody and Buzzlightyear! Potato head FTW! HAHA:)
