CUBA 2010
Not too long ago I was sitting at home imagining what it would be like to go to another country that has been stuck in its past. Then one night I got ready and packed my things and I couldn't believe it was time. Walking through those doors, pulling your luggage, lurking at all the things inside an airport, and having a last scent before taking off and saying goodbyes. The Cuba trip to me was the most exciting, enjoyable, never-ending stops to the beach and historical monuments, and memorable comapared to all the other countries I've visited. Cuban kids are just as hard working as we are...school from 7am-5pm! That is insane. I can't even stand being in school for half of the day which is like 3hrs! The flaw is that they live in an environment that's not so sanitary and hard to work with but they still deal with it everyday of their lives. Havana Club is just a little something to remember and prolly only a once in a life time thing to have before going back home for me. I did miss everyone back home but for some reason when we arrived back safely I missed all my cuban buddies...I hope they live a good life and can enjoy the rest of the world just like I did. To travel without my parents was a first and another was to go with a bunch of people from school which by the end of trip we later realized we weren't so different from each other. That's something I'll take and have many stories to tell.
