Spoken word poem- A close friend without a good end

You always thought you had me.
You knew it all along and never told me
All those times I treated you like a queen,
in return all I get is a thanks and you leave?

You told me some girls would never be your friend.
Talking trash like no tomorrow.
You are such a hypocrite!
I look at you now and all I see is you playing pretend.

I'm changed now because of you,
You blocked from so many friends,
that saying sorry when we were over,
was something important I had to do.

I appreciated all the understanding and love you've given.
Phone calling, texting, writing, and chilling with me.
But once it was with someone else or a group of old friends,
it felt as if it were forbidden.

People said we were "THE COUPLE"!
I feel sorry for them because they believed in us.
Unlike someone, but you can tell them what happened.
If you don't and they ask me, I know the perfect example.
